Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas.
silk screen is produced by applying each color to the metal base ,using a ” Laser screen” process. A very thin epoxy coat protects the color material from scratching.
Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface. It is also known as Screen Printing, silkscreen, seriography, and serigraph.
Rather than being stamped, Photo etched pin ‘s design is chemically etched into the base metal, then color-filled by hand and baked at 1,200-1,400 degrees before being polished. In the final step, a thin coat of clear epoxy is applied to the surface to protect the enamel and to provide a rich, finished look. Photo etch allows for great detail. Prices include 6 colors (white and black are considered colors). Additional colors as low as 6 piece.
This process allows for bleeds and blends of colors. This style is perfect for complex art and photo reproduction. An unlimited amount of colors can be used. It is cost effective for a lower quality, higher count product.
Our basic product( that is die struck lapel pins), is made when a die hits a piece of metal and stamps a design into it. These dies are commonly known as die molds. Most of the time we create pieces with two levels of detail: a raised level and a recessed level. The recessed levels can be filled with coloring or they can be left as plain metal. Below is an illustration of a two level badge.
Some jobs require more than two levels of detail. Most other companies build their multi-level products by glueing multiple plates together. This construction method has a higher failure rate.
We do things differently. All of our multi-level products are made from a single piece of metal, creating a durable piece. In our process, multiple dies strike the base metal and create the multiple relief layers. Below are to examples of recent projects that utilized this method.
Most of metal materials can be using to make metal badges ,like copper, brass, bronze, iron, zinc alloy.
Metal Finishes include: Gold Metal、 Copper Metal、Silver Metal、Dual Metal Plating、Antique Gold Metal、Antique Copper Metal、Antique Silver Metal、Antique Black Metal(Without Enamel or With Colored Enamel)
