We create thousands of awareness ribbon pins annually, and can easily customize pins to fit your needs to help you represent your cause, business, or organization.

Awareness ribbon pins have long served as a way for people to make a statement of support for a cause or issue.

Our awareness ribbon pins are tailor-made to your specifications, which means that you pick the color schemes, design, and layout.

We’ll then personalize your message by adding any text you’d like to the pin. Whether it be for a well known cause or a local one, such as a memorial or fundraiser, awareness ribbon pins make a statement and an impact.

We use the Pantone Matching System, which means that identifying and matching the exact colors you’d like to use is easier than ever. And there are over a thousand colors available to choose from.

Epoxy Or No Epoxy

September 15th, 2010 1 comment

Let’s talk about the different styles of lapel pins. The epoxy coating is an option but is not always needed.

The printed-pins must have an epoxy coating.

Cloisonne pins or Imitation Enamel pins are not recommended to have an epoxy coating,

Soft enamel pins is usually where the question begins.

Oftentimes when lapel pins are going to be worn and exposed to being damaged (such as on a uniform), epoxy is a good idea. One has to remember, epoxy s used as a protective covering.  Remember that some details will be lost when the epoxy coating is placed on the lapel pin, because of reflections and depth perceptions.

About size of Lapel Pins

September 14th, 2010 1 comment

a lapel pin is measured on the longest side.  Now this get’s slightly confusing.  It is not measured diagonally like a computer monitor or television set, instead the easiest way to measure a lapel pin is like this.  Draw a square or rectangle around your pin.  Then measure the longest side.  That is the size of your pin.  Remember it must be a square or a rectangle, and that will give you the right size.

Learning about cutouts of lapel pins

September 14th, 2010 No comments

Cutouts create a beautiful effect for a lapel pin.  Although the cost is a little higher when designing a pin with a cutout, the over all gain for the design maybe worth it.  There are pins that have multiple cutouts to create desired effects.

When designing your custom lapel pins, have fun and remember cutouts as a possible option.

When most custom lapel pins are created, they are usually a solid metal piece. That does not always have to be the case.

Look at the image to see what some people have done with cutouts.   As you can see, some of these pins are just unbelievable, due to the use of cutouts on the custom lapel pin.

The Accessories of lapel pins

September 9th, 2010 No comments

The backside of lapel pins can be just as important to as the front, not only because it holds the pin in place, but also because it may make lapel pins more unusual. Attachment pieces come in a variety of styles.

Butterfly clutch – One of the most popular modern methods of attaching pins is the butterfly clutch, sometimes called a military clutch. The back of the pin has a small prong attached and when the butterfly clutch is squeezed and pulled up from the prong the pin is released from the  clutch. Butterfly clutches may be made out of metal, plastic, or rubber.
Jewelry clutch – The jewelry clutch, or tie tack, is a simple but elegant design. The clutch locks into place when it covers the prong.
Safety clasp – A safety clasp is similar to a safety pin in design. A long pin prong tucks under a small hook or clasp to hold the pin in place.
Magnetic clasp – Magnetic clasps are composed of a small disc magnet that is attracted to another magnet that is attached to the back of the pin. Although this method is generally less secure, it is designed to prevent hole punctures in garments.
Screw and nut – A screw and nut clasp is one of the most secure. The prong is threaded so that the nut screws into place to hold the pin firmly.
Stick pin – A stick pin has a thin needle with a collar that slides up and down the needle to secure or release the lapel pins.
